Children and Healing on Shows

I recently attended a show where there were quite a number of complementary therapies stands offering taster sessions to the public.  This is a wonderful way of promoting our work since it gives people a chance to try a therapy before committing to a full appointment.  All in all it was hugely enjoyable until I noticed that a very young child, that was obviously healthy and well, was receiving a form of energetic ‘healing’ on one of the stands.  I know that the child was healthy since it had passed our stand a while before and was full of beans, cheeky and running around.  It was unfortunately obvious that the child was not comfortable receiving the therapy and the whole thing came across like some form of abuse and an intrusion to the child’s personal space.  It was uncomfortable to watch, to the point that I had to keep myself from intervening, which was unfortunately not an option.  I would hasten to say that the therapist obviously meant well, but then they could not see the child’s expression and the parent was looking at another stand. Tarot for Healing and Development

Around 40 odd years ago, I received my first pack of Tarot cards but never really took them seriously until I realised, much later in my life, that there is much more to these cards then meets the eye. The Tarot can of course be used to take a look at what is going on in one’s life and for those who have the necessary skills, they can be a valuable tool to help others gain insights into their day to day lives on what is going on or what possibilities could lay ahead. HEALING WHAT IS IT?

Nowadays there are very many different forms of healing. All have different names and all seem to take different amounts of time to learn. The VHF teaches Crystal and Energy (Spiritual) Healing and there are quite a number of other organisations that do the same. Not all seem to have the same idea of what healing is, how one can learn it and how long this takes. It must be very difficult for the newcomer to understand what healing really is, since it is explained in so many different and sometimes nebulous ways. We feel it is therefore a good idea to state in simple terms what we mean by Energy (Spiritual) Healing and we will also do the same regarding Crystal Healing later on. Continue reading →

Karma and Healing

Somebody told me a while ago that the concept of Karma is a thing of the past and that it does not exist any longer. Others state that there are currently healings on offer that purport to fully clear a client’s karma and there, also, still seems to be a general opinion that Karma is a punishment for bad behaviour. A MORE ENLIGHTENED AGE

Following on from my rant about the email I received on possible EU restrictions regarding the complementary world, I thought it a good idea to dream a little about what a more positive approach would entail. I believe we are here in order to experience the world of matter for a while, add to and/or alter it by what we create and hopefully do this in joy and harmony. Back to the Dark Ages

Someone just emailed me that the EU has passed a directive that comes into full force in April 2011, that all herbal and mineral supplements are to be banned, all teaching of alternative healing methods will be banned and homeopathic colleges dissolved.  As of this summer it is forbidden to sell books about using plants and minerals. Bach Flower Remedies and Animal Healing

ANIMAL HEALING – Bach Flower Remedies
It has come to our notice recently that it is now against the law to advise owners of animals to give their animal Bach Flower Remedies to ingest, unless one is a vet.

The way to go about it now is to advise the owner of the animal to place some drops on their hands and take it through the fur/aura of the animal in question.  This would of course very much benefit the owner as well, but the whole thing is obviously once again a step against complementary therapies.
