Unfortunately, over the last few years, there have been a number of issues in the newspapers that have put healing in a distorted light due to instances of healers not behaving appropriately or professionally. I also have had quite a number of calls from people who were not happy with healing sessions, alas at times for good reason. Had the clients in question known a little more about what to expect, much grief could have been avoided.It can be daunting to book and go for a healing session if you do not really know what is involved or if you feel too fragile or too shy to ask questions. Most people who feel the need to come for healing are in a vulnerable state and may also feel nervous about the whole process. I am therefore very happy that there is now a notice for the public on the CHI website (www.crystalandhealinginternational.co.uk) which includes a succinct version of what crystal and energy healing is, how it may be of benefit and what a client can expect.
Our therapies have not (yet) been scientifically proven and because we are dealing with subtle energies, some of the information out there can indeed be perceived as nebulous to say the least. There is also very little research into healing, probably because of the expense that is involved and funding is not readily available. Although our work is about energy, this does not mean that it cannot be portrayed in a relative down to earth and practical manner and I would encourage all healers who have a website to make appropriate, clear cut information available.
What I am concerned the true proof is always in the proverbial pudding and if we all make an effort to give out valid and easy to understand information and substantiate this by a professional attitude and effectiveness in practice this would help promote our therapies hugely.
